Day 12 at the World Cup also saw Kylian Mbappé equal the previous record of 16 with two for France in a 3-0 win over Iraq amid the tournament’s first rain delay. Erling Haaland also scored twice as Norway beat Senegal 3-2 in a thriller in New Jersey. Algeria kept its knockout-round hopes alive by defeating Jordan 2-1 in Santa Clara.
